Event Description:
Beginning September 21, 2009, adults seeking entry-level job skills will fill the high-tech classrooms at the Muskegon Area Career Tech Center (MACTC). The twice-a-week training workshops will occur over a ten-week period. A choice of 13 courses will be taught by industry-certified instructors on Monday and Wednesday or Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 4-7 p.m. Class sizes will be limited to 15 adults to ensure personal attention, safety, and hands-on learning. Auto Body Refinishing, Auto Service, Basic MIG (Metal Inert Gas) Welding, Basic TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) Welding, Computer-Aided Design (CAD), Business Professional/Finance Training, HVAC, Floral Design, Level One CNC Machining Operations, Machine Tool, PC Maintenance/Residential Cabling, Public Safety/Protective Services, and Restaurant, Catering, and Culinary Management courses are being offered.
Class tuition for each course is $295.00 and some courses may require additional material or textbook fees. Deadline for enrollment is Monday, September 14, 2009. This training program is a cooperative venture between local Adult and Community Education Programs and the MACTC.
