Event Description:
XUHONG SHANG Xuhong Shang, a Shanghai-born painter, photographer, and international artist will create a new installation of his work for the Muskegon Museum of Art. Shang has exhibited his work both internationally and throughout this country and is known for his visually lush conceptual and abstract paintings, installations that explore many of the paradoxes of representation and reality, and for his photography that focuses on the edge between the reality and the visual, metaphor and meaning, and which heightens the relationship between the viewer and the art form.
